Dr Philip Berry is a well-respected Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at The Shard Hospital, part of the HCA Healthcare group. He also holds an NHS position at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital where he is the departmental governance and patient safety lead. He has vast experience and expertise in all areas of his field but his subspecialty is in liver disease including viral hepatitis, alcohol-related liver damage, tumours and fatty liver disease. He performs advanced techniques such as endoscopy to remove bile and pancreatic stones, minimising risk to his clients and reducing recovery time.

Dr Berry was awarded his Medical Degree from Bristol University, followed by a Masters Degree from Kings College Hospital Liver Unit after his research into cirrhosis. He is heavily published in his career, with over 50 articles to his name and medical contributions to 'The Guardian' newspaper and the 'British Medical Journal'.

In his clinical practice, Dr Berry treats a wide range of conditions including fatty liver disease, viral hepatitis, alcohol-related liver disease, autoimmune disease, liver tumours, pancreatic tumours, gallstones, pancreas disorders, and bile duct disorders.
