Mr Rajiv V Dave is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast and Endocrine Surgeon at the Nightingale & Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention Centre, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. This centre is one of the largest breast symptomatic and screening units in the UK, renowned for its excellence in complex oncoplastic breast surgery and pioneering new technologies.
Mr Dave's specialist surgical training spans over a decade and includes a Research Fellowship awarded the Patey Prize by the Society of Academic and Research Surgery. He has also completed a prestigious TIG Oncoplastic Fellowship in Manchester and an International Fellowship in Breast, Endocrine, and Melanoma in Melbourne, Australia.
In addition to his expertise in breast surgery, Mr Dave is trained in thyroid and parathyroid surgery. He is an integral part of the busy Endocrine service at Wythenshawe Hospital and a member of the Greater Manchester & Cheshire Thyroid Cancer Team. He has a particular interest in thyroidectomy for Graves' disease and the surgical management of primary hyperparathyroidism.
Mr Dave has a strong academic background and a keen interest in translational 'bench to bedside' research. He has published extensively in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and has also contributed to patient information literature. He has successfully led large national collaborative studies that have influenced clinical practice and has been awarded prestigious research grants. His leadership roles include serving on the Association of Breast Surgery Academic and Research Committee and as a steering member of the UK/Kenya Healthcare Alliance.
Known for his excellent communication skills and dedication to teamwork, Mr Dave is committed to delivering high-quality care to his patients. He regularly engages in continued professional development to stay abreast of current management trends, ensuring that his practice is informed by the latest advancements.
