Dr Rowan Miller is a Consultant Medical Oncologist specialising in gynae-oncology and clinical trials. She practices at University College London and St Bartholomew's hospitals within the NHS. Dr Miller's areas of expertise include novel therapies for gynaecological cancer, and she is particularly focused on utilising genomics and biomarkers to guide therapy in patients.
Dr Miller completed her undergraduate training at the University of Oxford and her clinical training at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London. She trained in Medical Oncology at University College London and was subsequently awarded a Cancer Research UK Fellowship. She attained a PhD from the Institute of Cancer Research, where her research evaluated novel therapies for patients with clear cell ovarian cancer.
Since her appointment, Dr Miller has been actively involved in several clinical trials and basic science research. She is a member of the European Society of Medical Oncology Personalized Medicine and Translational Research Committee and led their consensus recommendation paper on HRD testing in ovarian cancer.
Dr Miller's research interests are deeply rooted in advancing the treatment of gynaecological cancers. She is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovative therapies and personalised medicine approaches.
