Dr Shazia Afridi is a consultant neurologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust in London. She specialises in the hormonal aspects of migraine and has extensive expertise in imaging in migraine and complex migraine aura.
In addition to her clinical role, Dr Afridi is an honorary senior lecturer at King's College, London. She completed her higher neurology training in London and earned her PhD in Neurology from the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, where she focused on functional imaging in migraine.
Dr Afridi has made significant contributions to the field of headache research. She has served on the council for the British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH) and is a trustee for the Migraine Trust. Furthermore, she is a member of the scientific committee for the Migraine Trust International Symposium.
Her clinical interests include the diagnosis and management of various types of migraines, with a particular focus on hormonal influences. Dr Afridi is dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of migraine through both her clinical practice and research activities.
