Dr Stephen Till is a Consultant Allergist at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals. He is one of the few consultants practising allergy to be listed on the GMC specialist register as an Allergist. His special interests are investigation and treatment of allergic disorders in adults including anaphylaxis, food allergy, allergic rhinitis (including hay fever), asthma, allergic eczema, urticaria, angioedema, drug allergy and bee/wasp allergy. He also holds the title of Reader at King’s College London, where he carries out research in immunotherapy (allergen desensitisation), food allergy, urticaria and rhinitis.
Dr Till completed his PhD in Allergy at Imperial College London after an undergraduate degree at Oxford, and has published extensively in allergy research over the past two decades. His current research interests include immunotherapy (desensitisation) and food allergy. He has held numerous awards and fellowships, including the World Allergy Organisation Henning Lowenstein Award for research in allergy. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Member and Secretary of the British Society of Allergy & Clinical Immunology and Member of the European Academy of Allergy & Clinical Immunology. He is the current secretary of the British Society for Allergy & Clinical Immunology.
