Mr George is a consultant gynaecologist and the lead for the gynaecological oncology and colposcopy service at the Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. He is a Royal College accredited specialist in laparoscopic surgery and gynaecological ultrasound, and has a special interest in the diagnosis and initial management of gynaecological cancer.

He provides comprehensive one stop clinic services for women with gynaecological problems such as menstrual irregularities, post menopausal bleeding, abnormal cervical smears and ovarian cancer screening.

Mr George is an accredited endometriosis surgeon and leads the Stockport Endometriosis Centre, a tertiary referral service for complex cases. He works with a range of experts to offer a holistic care pathway for pelvic pain and collaborates with surgical specialists in colorectal surgery and urology when radical surgery for endometriosis is required.

He offers laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for the treatment of fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, adhesions and early endometrial cancer. Mr George performs most keyhole surgeries as day case procedures, including hysterectomy and removal of ovaries. He has expertise in gynaecological ultrasound and management of early pregnancy problems including key hole surgery for ectopic pregnancies
