Mr Tony Andrade is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with extensive experience in young adult hip problems, as well as hip and knee surgery. He currently sees private patients at the Harley Street Specialist Hospitals.

Mr Andrade earned his bachelor’s degree in medicine from the University of London in 1990. He then completed his specialist surgical training in Wessex, South of England. Further honing his skills, he undertook a hip and knee surgery fellowship in Adelaide, Australia, where he developed a keen interest and expertise in hip arthroscopy. Additionally, he completed a trauma fellowship at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

In 2002, Mr Andrade was appointed as a Consultant at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Since his appointment, he has become a leading expert in hip and knee surgery. Shortly after joining the hospital, he established a hip arthroscopy and hip preservation service, which has since evolved into a tertiary referral center serving many patients in the South West of England.

Mr Andrade is renowned for pioneering hip arthroscopy in the UK and has made significant contributions to the surgical techniques used in this field. His areas of expertise include hip arthroscopy, hip preservation, and complex hip and knee surgeries. He is dedicated to advancing the field of orthopaedic surgery and improving patient outcomes through innovative surgical practices.

In his role, Mr Andrade treats a wide range of conditions, including hip impingement, labral tears, and early hip arthritis. His interests lie in developing minimally invasive techniques to enhance recovery and reduce pain for his patients.
