    Mr Vijay Ramani is a Consultant Urological Surgeon, appointed at University Hospital South Manchester and The Christie, Manchester since 1999. He is a pioneer in the introduction and advancement of robotic surgery at The Christie, regularly performing robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy on patients with localised adenocarcinoma of the prostate.

    Mr Ramani's specialist interests include prostate, bladder, renal, testis, and complex pelvic and retroperitoneal cancers. His expertise extends to a range of specialist operations such as radical cystectomy and neobladder reconstruction, partial nephrectomy for small renal tumours, radical nephrectomy, and complex inferior vena cava surgery. He also performs surgery for testis cancer, including primary orchidectomy and retroperitoneal lymph node dissection.

    In addition to his clinical work, Mr Ramani is a Lecturer at the European School of Urology. He delivers lectures on urological cancers at regional, national, and international levels. He is actively involved in recruiting patients for clinical trials through the specialist multidisciplinary team (MDT) setup and provides consultations on prostate issues and men's health.
