It was so nice meeting you and finally clearing up the questions concerning my mammogram. Needless to say, I did not think I had breast cancer, but as you know it is always better to clarify the situation. It was also a pleasure to meet you. You are pretty, highly intelligent and bubbly — a trait which is not often seen in doctors. I think you are GREAT as a woman and you have an enormous personality. Once again, many thanks.

I want to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart. You really went out of your way to advise me where to go, and it is clear you have such a high standard of integrity. I was right to trust you with your guidance, and thank you for removing the lump that I had dealt with for so long. My life has truly changed, my confidence has increased and you are a massive part of that. I will be leaving a 5-star review.

We know this is by no means the end of the journey, but it still feels like a huge victory. Thank you for going above and beyond to make this ordeal easier for us. We don't take it for granted. As our 3.5-year-old son says, you truly are a "Super Doctor".

    About Miss Cheryl Lobo

    Year qualified: 2002

Place of primary qualification: University of London

    Initial consultation fee: £350

    Follow up consultation fee: £220

Cheryl Lobo is an experienced Consultant Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeon caring for patients with breast disease since 2007. She offers one-stop breast clinics for rapid diagnosis. State-of-the-art breast imaging and biopsies (if needed) are undertaken at the initial consultation, with same-day results.

She specialises in the management of all aspects of breast disease with the emphasis always on survivorship and the needs of modern women. Patients describe her as thorough, clear and deeply committed to achieving the best possible outcomes. Tatler Breast Surgeons Guide 2025 describes her as "a leader in modern breast surgery, blending medical mastery with aesthetic vision to deliver exceptional care for women facing breast disease."

She treats patients with breast cancer who present with symptoms, recalled through screening or from a high-risk family background. As an oncoplastic surgeon, Miss Lobo combines the latest plastic surgery techniques with breast cancer surgery to give both the best cancer treatment and the best cosmetic outcome.

A breast cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. A second opinion with Miss Lobo includes a review of diagnosis, review of treatment options, and a personalised treatment plan for you and your cancer. This process provides reassurance, allows informed decision-making and a more confident and positive cancer journey.

Alongside her cancer practice, Miss Lobo is passionate about optimising breast health and reducing cancer risk. She advises on risk-based screening and the safe use of HRT. She is regularly invited to speak at longevity, menopause and women's health events and is actively involved in breast health education initiatives in schools.

In addition to her clinical practice, Miss Lobo has held several leadership roles, including establishing the Breast Sarcoma Tertiary Referral Centre for the London Sarcoma Service (Europe’s largest sarcoma service) and co-founding the charity Phyllodes UK. She also served as Co-Chair of the Proton Beam Therapy and Cancer Development Board at University College London Hospital.

Miss Lobo graduated from Imperial College London with honours and completed her specialist breast surgical training at The Royal Marsden. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the Association of Breast Surgeons. Her research has been published and presented nationally and internationally. Outside medicine, Miss Lobo enjoys spending time with her family, art history and architectural design.
