    Mr George Attilakos is a Consultant in Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and the lead clinician for the Maternal-Fetal Assessment Unit at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). He has been dedicated to the care of both normal and high-risk pregnancies, with a particular focus on multiple pregnancies. Mr Attilakos possesses extensive experience in Fetal Medicine, including performing fetal surgical procedures for complications such as twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome and congenital diaphragmatic hernia.

    Mr Attilakos completed his undergraduate studies in medicine in 1993 and was awarded membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) in 2002. He furthered his expertise by conducting research in non-invasive prenatal diagnosis, earning his MD from the University of Bristol. In 2010, he completed his subspecialty training in Fetal and Maternal Medicine at St Michael’s Hospital, the teaching maternity hospital of Bristol University.

    In addition to his clinical roles, Mr Attilakos is deeply involved in medical education. He serves as the RCOG College Tutor at UCLH, with a special interest in Postgraduate Medical Education. He has co-developed a national teaching course for operative birth skills aimed at junior obstetricians. His professional contributions extend to being a Council member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and an Associate Editor of the journal ""The Obstetrician and Gynaecologist"". He is also a Steering Committee member of the UK Obstetric Surveillance System.

    Mr Attilakos is proficient in a wide range of procedures and treatments, including normal vaginal delivery, assisted vaginal delivery, caesarean section, obstetric ultrasound, non-invasive prenatal diagnosis (such as the Harmony test), invasive prenatal diagnosis (amniocentesis and CVS), and managing high-risk and multiple pregnancies.

    His educational qualifications include an MB BS obtained in 1993 and MRCOG awarded in 2002. He is a member of several professional organisations, including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the British Maternal and Fetal Medicine Society, and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
