About Mr Irfan Malik
GMC number: 6025797
Year qualified: 1993
Place of primary qualification: Bahauddin Zakariya University
Mr Irfan Malik is a distinguished Consultant Neurosurgeon with a special focus on spinal neurosurgery. He completed his initial neurosurgical training in Pakistan before advancing his expertise in the UK at The Royal Hallamshire Hospital and the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire from 2001 to 2006. He was awarded his FRCS(SN) and further honed his skills through Fellowships in Complex Spine and Epilepsy Surgery at the University Hospital Coventry and King’s College Hospital, London.
Mr Malik is adept at diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of spinal conditions, ranging from degenerative diseases to traumatic and malignant spinal disorders. He employs both surgical and non-surgical approaches, excelling in minimally invasive techniques for procedures such as disk replacement and the treatment of neck pain, back pain, arm pain, and sciatica. Notably, he has performed more endoscopic spinal surgeries than any other spinal surgeon in the UK.
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Malik is dedicated to training other UK and international surgeons in these advanced procedures. He also maintains a keen interest in epilepsy treatment at his private practices. His comprehensive approach and commitment to education make him a leading figure in the field of neurosurgery.
