Dr Joel Newman is a Consultant Haematologist based in London and the South East. He consults at The LOC on Harley Street, The Harley Street Clinic, London Bridge Hospital, HCA The Shard Diagnostic Center, and HCA at Guy's Cancer Centre. Outside of London, he consults at the Nuffield Hospitals in Tunbridge Wells, Brighton, and Haywards Heath, as well as the Spire Sussex Hospital. His current NHS post is at East Sussex Healthcare Trust.

Dr Newman specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of blood cancers, including chemotherapy administration for conditions such as leukaemia, myeloma, and lymphoma. He also has expertise in anaemia, iron deficiency, and bleeding disorders. His procedural skills include bone marrow aspirate and biopsy, bone marrow transplant, and monitoring of anticoagulation therapies.

A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists, Dr Newman trained at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals in London and completed specialist training in Haematology at King's College Hospital. He has held significant roles such as Specialist Advisor to the Care Quality Commission and Chair of the East Sussex Division of the British Medical Association.

Dr Newman is also an accomplished author, contributing to several haematology textbooks and serving as Deputy Editor for the Journal of Medical Case Reports. Currently, he is the Chief of Core Services and Laboratory Director at East Sussex Healthcare and the Clinical Lead for the Sussex Pathology Network. His interests extend to the education and training of new haematologists, influencing curricula through the London Deanery and the Royal College of Pathologists.
