    Dr. John Conibear is a highly esteemed consultant clinical oncologist at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, where he has been serving since 2014. He completed his initial medical training at the University Hospital of Wales in 2001 and further honed his skills through post-graduate general medical training in The Barts and The London Training rotation, which he completed in 2006. Dr. Conibear also undertook a 2-year fellowship with the NCRI Radiotherapy Trials Quality Assurance Group at Mount Vernon Hospital, focusing on research to improve clinician target outlining during radiotherapy planning. His dedication to this field earned him an MD(Res) from UCL in 2018.

    Currently, Dr. Conibear holds the positions of deputy medical director and deputy director of Barts Cancer Centre. He specialises in non-surgical treatments for lung and breast cancers, with a particular expertise in chemotherapy, biological therapy, immunotherapy, and advanced radiotherapy techniques. These techniques include deep inspiration breath-hold (DIBH) for early breast cancer, Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), 4D-CT, and both Cyberknife and Gamma Knife stereotactic radiotherapy.

    In addition to his clinical roles, Dr. Conibear is the lead for chemotherapy and the clinical director for thoracic oncology at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital. He also manages a private practice, where he continues to provide exceptional care to his patients.
