About Mr Khalid Ghufoor

Khalid Ghufoor qualified from the Royal London Hospital School of Medicine, London, UK in 1990. He initially trained in General Surgery, achieving his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1995. He trained in otolaryngology on the North Thames ENT Training Programme, working in several ENT departments in North London including St. Mary’s Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, The Royal National Throat Nose & Ear Hospital, and St. Bartholomew’s Hospital. During his training he developed specialist skills in minimal access surgery for cancers of the larynx, pharynx and oral cavity. He also worked in the skull base centre at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
He was appointed to the Consultant Staff of St. Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospitals in 2002, and as Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary Westfield Medical College and at The Royal National Throat, Nose & Ear Hospital in 2006. he is also the ENT Training Programme Director for North Thames in the London Deanery, as well as a Clinical Tutor at The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
