Dr Ravi Rajakariar is the Lead Clinician and Network Director in Renal Medicine at St Bart's and the London NHS Trust. He also practices at several top-quality private clinics across London. Graduating with Honours from Leicester Medical School in 1995, Dr Rajakariar specialised in nephrology, training at the prestigious Renal Unit in St Bart's Hospital. He continues to practice there, treating patients with a broad range of renal diseases, including those undergoing transplantation and haemodialysis.
Dr Rajakariar's particular interests lie in chronic and diabetic kidney disease, glomerular disease, and lupus nephritis. He is the author of numerous medical papers and is involved in a large multi-centre trial focused on the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). His expertise extends to conditions such as vasculitis, sarcoidosis, haematuria, proteinuria, and hypertension.
Passionate about medical education, Dr Rajakariar is heavily involved in training the next generation of doctors and renal specialists. He has been on the Specialty Register for General (Internal) Medicine and Renal Medicine since 31 March 2008. His dedication to advancing renal medicine and improving patient outcomes is evident in his ongoing research and clinical practice.
