Dr Ricky Gondhia, after serving as a GP Partner within the NHS, has now transitioned to focus on delivering excellent private practice in London. He can treat the full range of conditions seen in general practice. He has a wide range of specialist clinical experience including paediatrics, emergency medicine, gynaecology and ENT. He has experience in delivering care in both the public and private sector and has worked in the Harley Street area.
Dr Gondhia graduated from University College London Medical School in 2004. He was awarded membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2010. Outside of clinical work, he was the Principal Clinical Lead in his borough and a Clinical Director for an NHS Trust.
Dr Gondhia’s great communication skills have earned him a place as a media medic. He has made a number of radio and television appearances including BBC News, Radio 5 Live and City Hospital. He appeared on several episodes of the BBC documentary City Hospital, filmed at Guy's Hospital and St Thomas' Hospital in central London from 1998 to 2007. He also hosted ‘One Click Clinic’, the online health channel featured on YouTube that clocked up thousands of views with his informative weekly videos on a range of health-related topics.

What are the common symptoms that your patients tend to present with?
The common conditions we see patients for are mental health conditions like stress, anxiety, depression in the City. Another common condition people present with is rashes. Musculoskeletal conditions such as aches and pains or sports injuries would be another common condition. We see a lot of bowel problems such as IBS and non-specific abdominal pain. We see chest pains. We see a lot of acute conditions like respiratory symptoms, breathing difficulties, throat pain, ear pain, among others. We see a bit of patient presenting with headaches, acute and chronic.
What are the treatments that you're able to offer your patients?
After we've done the history examination side of things, we offer both investigations and treatments. We can do blood tests, ECGs, spirometry, various types of examinations, among others. In terms of treatments, after a diagnosis, we can do some procedures and medication advice for all common GP ailments.
What are your areas of sub-specialist interest?
My areas of interest are diabetes and ENT.
