Mr Sanjeev Bassi is a distinguished Consultant Adult and Paediatric Neurosurgeon, renowned for his expertise in treating a wide array of brain and spine conditions. He operates a comprehensive practice at King's College Hospital and Evelina London Children's Hospital, where he has been a consultant since 2004. Mr Bassi's areas of expertise include sciatica, back and neck pain, hydrocephalus, brain haemorrhage, brain tumours, spinal tumours, and cerebral palsy. He is also proficient in neuroendoscopy and the implantation of skeletal muscle relaxant pumps.

Mr Bassi graduated with a medical degree from the University of Manchester in 1992 and subsequently became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. His advanced training took him to prestigious institutions such as The Necker–Enfants Malades Hospital in Paris and the Montefiore Medical Center in New York. He also served as a paediatric neurosurgical fellow at the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford.

In addition to his clinical roles, Mr Bassi is a leading figure in paediatric neurosurgery, performing 25-30% of all paediatric neurosurgical procedures in the South of England. His interests extend to general neurosurgery for adults, paediatric diseases that progress into adulthood, and degenerative spinal problems. He is also an international lecturer on neuroendoscopy and leads a course on hydrocephalus and endoscopy at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
