Dr Shaman Jhanji is a Consultant in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine at The Royal Marsden.
He qualified from Birmingham University Medical School and subsequently undertook postgraduate training in general medicine, anaesthetics and intensive care medicine in London. He was awarded a PhD from the University of London following research into microvascular abnormalities associated with major surgery and critical illness undertaken at the William Harvey Research Institute.
Dr Jhanji’s current research interests relate to the care of the perioperative patient on intensive care, and he has lectured both nationally and internationally on this subject. He is widely published in the field of high-risk surgery and intensive care.
Dr Jhanji specialises in anaesthesia for plastic and reconstructive surgery and abdominal and pelvic oncological surgery.
