Mr James White is a Consultant Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon based at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, King Edward VII's Hospital, The Lister Hospital Chelsea, The Shard - London Bridge Hospital, and Chiswick Outpatient Centre. He is also a founding member of Grosvenor Orthopaedic Partners.

Mr White is a highly trained surgeon who covers all aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery, including arthroscopy, arthroplasty, and trauma. He prioritises non-operative techniques where possible and ensures to involve his patients at every step of the decision-making process. When surgery is required, Mr White achieves excellent outcomes. He is especially passionate about providing his patients with the best solution for their particular case, rejecting a one-size-fits-all approach.

Mr White qualified from University College Medical School in 2007 before studying Trauma and Orthopaedics on the Northwest London programme. He then completed Shoulder and Elbow fellowships at the world-famous Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre in Exeter and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in London.

Mr White has published extensively in medical journals and presented his work both internationally and nationally. He has also co-authored multiple book chapters on upper limb surgery and contributed to the National Guidelines Blue Book for distal radius fracture treatment for the British Orthopaedic Association.

In his role, Mr White treats a wide range of conditions, including rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, elbow arthritis, and fractures. His expertise in advanced surgical techniques and commitment to patient-centred care make him a leading specialist in his field.
