A 2005 recipient of the prestigious Churchill Livingstone Medal, Mr Elliot Sorene was the only super-specialised hand, wrist and elbow surgeon to be featured in the Tatler Guide to Britain’s Top 250 doctors in 2013. With expertise in joint replacements, keyhole arthroscopic surgery, nerve surgery, tendon surgery, post-traumatic reconstruction and fracture surgery, Mr Sorene has worked with a diverse set of patients, including celebrities and professional athletes. He has also worked as a consultant with premier league football clubs and other top sporting leagues and has covered hand and wrist injuries in the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics Games with LOCOG medical services. He is a sought-after injury specialist by many Oscar-winning actors and movie-makers.
Mr Sorene was invited to provide his services as a consultant to the King Edward VII Hospital, which is under the patronage of Her Majesty The Queen. An editor of the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, he regularly writes on key trends in hand and wrist surgery and also teaches surgical techniques to students in the UK and abroad. Mr Sorene also engages in regular charity work and has completed many tendon transfer surgeries in rural India.
