Professor Sina Dorudi is a distinguished Professor of Surgical Oncology and a leading colorectal surgeon. He currently serves as the Medical Director at The Princess Grace Hospital, where he continues his extensive practice in colorectal surgery.
Professor Dorudi qualified in London in 1983 and has since built a remarkable career in general and colorectal surgery. His training took him through prestigious institutions in Kent, London, and Oxford. He further honed his expertise with a senior speciality fellowship in colorectal surgery in Sydney, focusing on pelvic and rectal cancer surgery. In addition, he conducted significant research at the CRUK Colorectal Cancer Unit at St Mark's Hospital, London, earning his PhD in 1994.
From 1996 to 2010, Professor Dorudi was a consultant colorectal surgeon at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospital. During this period, he held the position of Professor of Surgical Oncology and was the Lead Colorectal Cancer Surgeon.
Professor Dorudi's research is centred on improving the prognostic stratification of colorectal cancer patients post-surgery and exploring the immunology of various colorectal cancer phenotypes. He is also a respected postgraduate trainer in pelvic surgery and played a key role in developing the new undergraduate surgical curriculum introduced in 2008.
