    A specialist in shoulders, elbows, wrist and hands, Mr Simon Owen-Johnstone works exclusively in London Private Healthcare. He was appointed as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon to St Bartholomews and The Royal London in 2004, where he worked on major injuries brought by the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service. He was the Orthopaedic Lead Clinician at the time of leaving the NHS in 2011. His private practice covers all aspects of orthopaedic problems of the upper limb - joints, skin, bone, muscle, tendon and nerve. He is also an expert in ‘keyhole’ surgery.

    Mr Owen-Johnstone studied medicine at the University of Leicester, and became a junior surgeon at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, where he decided to pursue a career in orthopaedics. Higher surgical training on the Barts rotation took him to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Great Ormond Street, among others. He also studied at the St Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery, on a national fellowship.
